Claim Pre-Adjudication

DocuStream delivers more than just accurate data. We scrub and verify each field on the claim form to assure that the data matches what your system expects.

This may include provider and eligibility table lookups, internal completeness and consistency checks, custom field padding, and custom dictionary translations.

Such "pre-adjudication" scrubbing of claim data offloads the busy work from your adjudicators, who can now focus on high-level decisions. Our customers see 30% to 40% productivity gains as a result.

OCR Data Capture

DocuStream has been at the forefront of Optical Character Recognition for claims data capture since the mid-1990s, when much of today's technology was still being developed.

DocuStream works closely with leading OCR vendors, including top-rated Prime Recognition, makers of PrimeOCR. We combine Prime's multi-engine voting OCR with automated pixel image cleanup and optimization, as well as dynamic zoning that locates specific data fields even when the form layout has changed.

OCR is only one step in DocuStream's advanced processing workflow. Claim data is also verified and corrected by both human operators and automated validation routines, and is formatted to the customer's upload specifications.

The resulting data file is as accurate and complete as possible, and is ready for upload into your system.

Mailroom Processing & Scanning

For customers who want to get rid of paper entirely, we offer full-service mailroom processing that includes envelope opening, paper unfolding and staple removal, sorting, scanning, secure storage, and secure shredding.

In addition, we automatically print time/date stamps on each claim, which remains with the claim image after scanning. This saves our customers the expense of hand-stamping each claim.

We convert the incoming paper to indexed images that you can instantly access either in your own document management system or using our ScanNStore imaging storage and retrieval software.
